The original broke records topping the charts in Nigeria where it set a new 13 weeks record. The track is from Asake’s second album, “Work of Art,” and it discusses the emptiness, mistrust, and loneliness that come with success. After gaining popularity on TikTok and progressively expanding to other platforms, the song quickly became a favorite among fans.

Along with this historic accomplishment, Asake just received a 2024 Grammy nomination for Best African Song Performance for his smash song “Amapiano,” which features Olamide.
