As ART X Lagos celebrates a decade of championing African creativity, the organisation has announced the launch of a new international residency programme, Resonance, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Nigeria and the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
The Resonance residency aims to provide Nigeria’s most promising curators, visual artists, and designers with the opportunity to deepen their artistic practice in an international setting. The programme will offer three selected creatives a three-month residency in Paris, designed to foster artistic research, cross-cultural exchange, and professional development.
According to ART X Lagos, the annual initiative will provide participants with access to personalised mentorship by French curators and the renowned design agency Trampoline, studio accommodation in the heart of Paris, a monthly stipend, covered travel expenses, curated networking opportunities, and institutional access across France’s vibrant art ecosystem. Participants will also have the chance to collaborate with ART X Lagos beyond the residency period.
