Army Denies Neglecting Widows of Fallen Soldiers

The Nigerian Army has denied allegations of neglecting widows of fallen soldiers, stating that it has a robust welfare system in place to support the families of deceased personnel. 

According to Lt.-Col. Appolonia Anele, Acting Director of Army Public Relations, the Army urged individuals making allegations to come forward with specific details and evidence to enable the authorities to investigate and address any legitimate concerns. 

The Army also denied allegations of sexual harassment and bribery during the processing of death benefits, stating that it takes such allegations seriously and encourages anyone with credible evidence to report through established complaint mechanisms.
