Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie will headline the inaugural ‘Things Fall Apart’ Festival in Enugu State, scheduled for June 29 to July 5, 2025.
The festival, organized by the Centre for Memories – Ncheta Ndigbo, expands on the annual Things Fall Apart Day to honor Chinua Achebe’s global literary legacy.

Adichie, seen as a literary heir to Achebe, will deliver the keynote on the theme ‘Masculine, Feminine, Human – The Dialogue of Complements in Things Fall Apart’, exploring gender dynamics and identity in Achebe’s work.

Adichie’s appearance comes amid her global tour for Dream Count, her first novel in over a decade.

The festival promises an immersive experience blending art, culture, and technology to celebrate Achebe’s enduring impact.
