Tributes are pouring in for Nollywood actor Junior Odonwodo a.k.a. Junior Pope, whose life was cut short after he succumbed to his injuries sustained because of a boat accident on Wednesday.
Nigerian celebrities and politicians took to social media to reflect on the life of the late actor, describing his sudden death as a great loss to Nigeria’s movie industry.
In the meantime, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) has announced the suspension of all film productions involving riverine areas and boat rides following the tragic boat accident, as it declared yesterday, Thursday “No Shoot Day” for all Nollywood filmmakers.
The guild’s President, Ejezie Rollas, who disclosed this in a circular yesterday also noted that actors are barred from participating in any film produced by Adanma Luke until further notice.
Luke is the producer of the movie titled The Other Side Of Life, in which Junior Pope was starring before his death.
