G-Unit Books, the publishing arm of rapper 50 Cent (Curtis Jackson), has filed a $1 million lawsuit against his former partner, Shaniqua Tompkins, alleging she violated a long-standing agreement by publicly sharing personal stories about their past.
According to court documents, Tompkins—mother of 50 Cent’s 28-year-old son, Marquise—allegedly signed over exclusive rights to her life story to G-Unit Books in 2007, agreeing not to disclose or profit from her experiences, particularly those involving Jackson.
The lawsuit cites a 2023 YouTube video titled “Other Side of the Coin”, in which Tompkins claimed to have played a key role in building the G-Unit legacy. It also references a recent Instagram post where she reflected on her past with 50 Cent amid online speculation related to the Diddy trial.
G-Unit argues that these public disclosures breach the original agreement and are seeking a court order to stop Tompkins from publishing more content, along with at least $1 million in damages.
As of now, Tompkins and her legal team have not publicly responded to the suit.
