Veteran Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, widely known as Tuface or 2Baba, has triggered a wave of public discussion following his bold remarks about male sexuality and the challenges of monogamy.

During a recent interview with media personality Nedu, the acclaimed artist argued that it is biologically difficult for men to remain sexually committed to just one woman — even when they are deeply in love.

2Baba clarified that while men can choose to stay faithful, their natural impulses often contradict that choice, which he says is a common source of personal and relational conflict.

“Speaking from my experience, men are not naturally wired to be with only one woman sexually,” he stated. “A man can be emotionally devoted to one woman, but physical satisfaction is another matter entirely. It’s part of our biological makeup.”

He added, “Many men have landed in trouble because of this. A lot of heartbreaks and unnecessary emotional stress could be avoided if we were more honest about this truth.”

The comments quickly went viral, dividing opinion on social media. Supporters view his stance as a candid take on human nature, while critics accuse him of justifying infidelity.

2Baba, 49, has fathered seven children with three women — Sumbo Ajaba, Pero Adeniyi, and Annie Macaulay. In January 2025, he publicly announced his separation from Annie and their pending divorce. Since then, he has expressed affection for Natasha Osawaru, a lawmaker in the Edo State House of Assembly.
