President Muhammadu Buhari today, Sunday met with the leaders of the National Assembly Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and Speaker, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila over the ongoing nationwide #EndSARS protests.
The leadership of the National Assembly called for an end to the protest marches across the country noting that continuous protests would have more Socio-Economic impact on the nation.
Speaking with State House correspondents after the meeting, the Senate President Ahmad Lawan urged the protesters to put an end to the protests and give the government time to work on their other demands.
Our Correspondent, Raliat Adenekan reports that the House of Representatives Speaker also called for an end to the protests which is already causing havoc in some states, leading to attack on Osun state Governor and his convoy.
He commended the youths for their Resilience as well as asking them to give the government time to work on their demands, arguing that policy matters cannot be met overnight.
