Drake has taken his fans by surprise with his release of two new singles. The Canadian-born rapper dropped “When To Say When” and “Chicago Freestyle” via SoundCloud on Saturday.

 

“When To Say When” features Drake rapping over a sample of JAY-Z’s “Song Cry” while “Chicago Freestyle includes Drizzy putting his spin on Eminem’s “Superman.” The Theo Skudra-directed visuals for both cuts show the 6 God in Brooklyn and his hometown of Toronto.

Drake Speaks On War Single

Drake has taken to his Instagram Story on Sunday to shed light on his freestyle War released on Christmas Eve. The song was created as part of the El-Kuumba Tape Vol. 1. This project is also initiated by the co-founder of OVO Sound, Oliver El-Khatib. The Veteran MC expressed what the song means to his hometown, Toronto.

Drake Acquires Raptor’s Championship Ring

In the spirit of Toronto Raptors Becoming NBA champions, Drake decided to get a ring of his own. Drizzy also received the official NBA Championship ring handed out to the Raptors’ team during their opening night ceremony.

 

According to sources, the 30 carat diamond piece was produced by luxury jewelry-maker Jason Arasheben, founder of Jason of Beverly Hills. “Drake had me fly to Turks and Caicos for an emergency design meeting,” Arasheben said.

 

Drake Partners With OVO Sound To Release Top Boy Soundtrack

Drake has revived the British television series Top Boy with the help of Netflix. Drizzy and his OVO Sound label have also put together a soundtrack to go along with the show’s return. Top Boy (A Selection of Music Inspired by the Series) features songs from British artists such as Little Simz, Dave and Nafe Smallz along with notables from outside the UK like Popcaan and Baka Not Nice. In addition to the original music, the soundtrack includes Drake’s Link Up TV freestyle “Behind Barz” as a bonus cut.
