fbpx Scorpion Spends Fifth Week At The Top Of The Billboard 200 Albums Chart | The Beat 99.9 FM

For the fifth week in a row, Drake has the Number 1 album on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The last time an album reached this milestone was in 2016 when Drake's fourth album, Views topped the chart for nine consecutive weeks. Before Views, Adele's third album, 25 spent its first seven weeks at number 1 in 2015.

This accomplishment makes Drake the hip-hop artist with the second-most career weeks at number 1, as he passes JAY-Z. His albums have now spent 26 total weeks at number 1, compared to 25 for JAY-Z. Eminem sits atop the list with 32 weeks at number 1.

The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units. Units are comprised of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). The new August 11-dated chart (where Scorpion spends a fifth week at No. 1) will be posted in full on Billboard's websites on Tuesday, August 7.
