So I read something somewhere that says ‘’Relationships are like fitness, you cannot cheat and expect it to work out.’’
I mean at first glance it made absolute sense. But after a while, I went into deep thoughts and I realized that is so false. For those who actually are into this whole fit fam business, you know that these meal plans come with cheat days…and that is because whoever puts these plans together is aware of the fact that it is never an easy journey to switch up your dietary plans overnight and so they give room for those times you fall off the wagon because off the wagon you will fall.
Some other meme reads ‘’Relationships are like garage sales, from a distance it looks like it could be interesting but up close it’s just a ton of shit you don’t need.’’ Aha! This one didn’t need much thought…it is so not true. First who says garage sales are a ton of shit you don’t need? Well say that to those who organize it yearly and always make sales from it.
Then the hilarious ones were like ‘’Relationships are like fat people, most of them don’t work out.’’ Whoever came up with this hasn’t seen the gram and definitely doesn’t know about all the fitness gurus making millions in recent times.
Oh! The most ridiculous…’’Relationships are like a walk in the park, Jurassic Park.’’ Please tell me you can smell the irony…lol!
It is actually sad when some people write stuffs like ‘’Relationships are like trucks, when you get a flat tire you don’t get a new truck, you fix the tires.’’ It is sad because trucks never last long. Nobody has a truck for 10years, what more 20years? I mean even though I get where they are coming from with that, I still cannot look past the fact that a ‘’truck’’ is what is being used here.
Sighs…enough with all of the analogies…relationships are like nothing!
Yes I say again relationships are like nothing! Your relationship definitely could be like something and mine most certainly has an analogy that fits but generalizing the words ‘’Relationships,’’ now that there is the problem because that doesn’t exist!
There are no rules, no yards sticks no basis for comparison it is just you and whoever it is you are in a relationship with. So for all the above to be true, they just need to apply the four lettered word ‘some.’
Now look at these: ‘’Some relationships are like fitness, you cannot cheat and expect it to work out.’’ OR ‘’Some relationships are like garage sales, from a distance it looks like it could be interesting but up close it’s just a ton of shit you don’t need.’’ OR ‘’Some relationships are like fat people, most of them don’t work out,’’ OR ’’Some relationships are like a walk in the park, Jurassic Park.’’
Aha! Makes a lot of sense right? So the lesson here: Life hasn’t made you a standard…so stop using your life and experiences as a Standard! No one’s life is that perfect and yours most certainly isn’t! You may think you have been there, done that and got a T-shirt but hey, that doesn’t make your Shirt the acceptable uniform!
