fbpx Nigeria Advances to Phase 3 of Eased Restriction as Nationwide curfew now from midnight to 4am | The Beat 99.9 FM

The Presidential Task Force has said that Nigeria is not ready for a full re-opening of the economy, despite sufficient progress to warrant significant further relaxation of the restrictions.

 

Secretary to the Government of the Federation/Chairman PTF on Covid-19 Mr. Boss Mustapha who made this known during the Covid-19 briefing at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport Abuja noted that the PTF submitted its 7th Interim Report to President Buhari for his consideration and approval with transition into the third Phase of the National Response to COVID-19 for a period of four weeks with effect from 12.01 am on Friday 4th September.

 

Our correspondent Nathan Williams reports that the Minister of Aviation during the briefing also confirmed the September 5th resumption of international flights as earlier announced while noting that all arrangements are in place as guidelines must be adhered to by passengers adding that those who default will be sanctioned.

 

Meanwhile the National coordinator of the Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19, Dr. Sani Aliyu, announced that as Nigeria Advances to 3rd Phase of Eased Restriction, the Nationwide curfew is now from 12 midnight to 4am adding that persons on essential services are exempted from the curfew hours.
