Kodak Black has been reported to be "doing well" at the Federal Transfer Center in Oklahoma. According to his lawyer, Bradford Cohen, the rapper is also working on a new project in prison.
“Flew up for the day to Oklahoma to see Kodak Black he’s doing well,” Cohen wrote on Instagram. “As I have done for many of my clients that I want to check on. The FDC Oklahoma counsellors and managers went out of their way to accommodate a visit on an off day and with short notice.”
Cohen also makes mention of the allegations raised by his client as regards the treatment he was given in Miami Federal Detention Centre. According to Kodak, the prison guards denied him visitation from his girlfriend and mother and they also withheld medical attention from him and other inmates
“We will address the issues in FDC Miami in good time,” Cohen’s post continued. “It was good to see him and he was in good spirits. He is working on new projects and reading. He wants to thank all of you for the support.”
Kodak's mother hired an attorney as a result of his claims of abuse and revealed her intentions of suing the Federal Bureau of Prisons. She and her lawyer reportedly attempted to visit Kodak to conduct a welfare check on Wednesday (January 22) but were surprised to find out he’d been transferred from the Miami prison.
