fbpx CBN To Fund Vaccine Developed by Nigerian Scientists | The Beat 99.9 FM

The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has challenged Nigerian scientists to develop a vaccine for the deadly Coronavirus ravaging nations. 

 

Speaking at the commissioning of the THISDAY Dome Testing, Tracing and Treatment Centre in Abuja, CBN Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele said such vaccine would be funded after validation by the appropriate authorities.

 

In order to restore the country’s economic growth, Mr Emefiele said the public health crisis brought on by the coronavirus must be addressed urgently, adding that the CBN launched a N100bn healthcare intervention fund which pharmaceutical and healthcare practitioners can access at single-digit interest rate.
