The newly released Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War has been ranked among the top five highest-grossing films in the history of the world. According to Variety, the film closed out the week with $61.8 million at the domestic box office while adding on $281.3 million from the views overseas in a total of 55 international markets. That brings the Infinity War tally to $1.606 billion to make it the fifth highest grossing movie of all time. It is now ranked with Avatar, which claims $2.788 billion, Titanic at $2.187 billion, Star Wars: The Force Awakens which clocks out with $2.068 billion and Jurassic World at $1.671 billion.
The movie is on top Marvel’s original Avengers to be the highest-grossing superhero film while Black Panther still holds the highest-grossing superhero film in North America with $696 million. Infinity War has a total of $547 million at the domestic box office in just three weeks. After its debut in China this weekend, the film is officially boding well in all markets.
